Attendance Officer

Location : St Augustine Catholic Academy

Salary : NPS Grade G Points 19 – 22 (pro rata)

The Governors of St Augustine Catholic Academy and seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed individual, with a resilient ‘can do’ attitude and a calm and proactive approach, who would like to join our team in the role of Attendance Officer.

The successful candidate will work alongside the current Attendance Officer to provide a specialist service to help the school to raise achievement by improving school attendance and punctuality and to meet our attendance targets. They will be expected to promote positive attitudes by pupils and their families towards education and ensure that parents are made fully aware of their statutory responsibilities, particularly where there is persistent absence. They will also be required to make unsupervised home visits and attend meetings, both at school and off-site.

The successful candidate will have an understanding of the needs of pupils and their families and have a passion for supporting students both spiritually and academically.
