On behalf of the Members and Trustees, I am delighted to welcome you to St Joseph Catholic Multi Academy Trust.
We were delighted when the Department for Education invited the Archdiocese of Liverpool, in collaboration with the Catholic Diocese of Shrewsbury and the Anglican Diocese of Chester, to set up a new and exciting Trust. We were asked, by the government, to bring schools together in a national pilot. Therefore, in 2021, St Joseph CMAT was born, and we have been on a remarkable journey since our establishment.
Trustees, also known as directors, who were invited onto the Trust Board are all highly experienced professionals who have had or continue to have, successful careers at national and international levels. Remarkably, almost all of the Trustees were born and educated in Liverpool. Each received an excellent Catholic education which opened doors to university and the professions.
Each Trustee believes passionately that children are entitled to the best possible education. Trustees have high expectations and aspirations for the children they serve at St Joseph CMAT, and they want every child to succeed, to reach their potential and `to fly`.
The Board has appointed an excellent Central Team to drive this work, led by Andrew Truby, CEO. We also have a hard-working and dedicated team of headteachers within our academies.
