Students and staff at St Chad’s have had an extra reason to celebrate this Bank Holiday weekend after achieving their best GCSE results in seven years.
The number of students achieving a pass in English and Maths has increased by 10% since the last time GCSEs were externally graded in 2019, and improvements in humanities subjects were even more impressive. Passes increased by 15% in Spanish and 14% in History, while the number of students achieving a good pass in Geography increased by 16%.
The academy, part of St Joseph Catholic Multi Academy Trust, is the only faith school in Runcorn, carrying a distinctly Christian ethos that is clearly felt in its family atmosphere and strong relationship with students and parents. The small community and caring staff ensure that every student is supported to achieve their best.
