Our partnership with Steplab has helped us establish a consistent, Trust-wide approach to professional development, ensuring every member of staff is supported to continually develop their practice, regardless of where they are in their career journey.
By embedding instructional coaching and structured professional learning across our academies, we have created a shared language for teaching and learning that strengthens collaboration and supports high-quality classroom practice.
Through weekly coaching cycles, curriculum-aligned development and targeted support for colleagues at every stage of their careers, staff are able to refine their practice in manageable, purposeful ways that have a direct impact on pupils’ experiences in the classroom.
The partnership has also enabled leaders to take a more strategic approach to professional development, using data and insights to identify priorities and build consistency across the Trust.
Perhaps most importantly, Steplab has helped us create a culture where professional development is not viewed as an additional task, but as an integral part of everyday practice. Staff feel supported, collaboration has increased, and professional learning is embedded into the way we work together.
This sustained investment in people has contributed to improvements across our academies and strengthened our ability to support both existing and new academies joining the Trust.
